Division 8 is thin: Zell am See and Giro di Vicenza results are not in our archive.
Why division 3 is left out: it is a judgement call. In division 3 you would be racing teams at your own level rather than below it. If you count those trophies anyway and win them, their points slow your fall, and the best plan becomes 13 shots from S79 d15 – S79 d21.
Win a cup (or finish top 3 on GC) and that rider holds a wildcard for the next edition. It keeps a place for you for the first 3 days of signup, and you can use it even when ranked up to 25% better than the cup allows (50 places at most). The wildcard belongs to the rider and goes wherever the rider goes if sold. In practice that is about one division higher, so a cup you win once can be entered again the next season without dropping as far:
